The Milwaukee Brewers are bringing minor league baseball to Wilson, North Carolina!

The City of Wilson is investing over $64 million to build a sports and entertainment stadium in downtown Wilson that will serve as a hub for baseball, concerts and community events. As a result of this investment, NSV Development will also be master developing over $300 million of new mixed-use multifamily, hospitality, office, retail and townhome projects across nearly 50 acres surrounding the stadium.

The stadium will be complete by baseball’s Opening Day, April 2026.

A number of leading companies are joining with the City of Wilson, NSV Development, and the Milwaukee Brewers to make this project successful, including Clancy & Theys | Barton Malow, Pendulum, Built-Form, Kimley-Horn and NEMA Management.

About Wilson, NC

Wilson, located 50 miles east of Raleigh, is experiencing an economic infusion due to its proximity to the triangle, competitive cost of living, and diverse economic opportunities. Wilson is fortunate to have the largest manufacturing base in Eastern North Carolina, with five major life-science manufacturing facilities and many other diversified industries. City leaders have always invested heavily in infrastructure to serve industry with world-class amenities. The City supplies electric, natural gas, water, sewer and broadband utilities. Wilson is an employment center for many surrounding counties, with a net in-migration workforce of approximately 3,500 people daily.

PROJECT TIMELINE

This is a phased development where the stadium and hotel are the priority. The groundbreaking was held on May 9, 2024, and the stadium will be complete by April 2026.

The second and third phases of construction will include additional apartments, for sale townhomes, condos, and over 100,000 square feet of retail space.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club owns and operates the Carolina Mudcats, the Class A Carolina League affiliate of the Brewers. The Mudcats will play its home game in the new Wilson Stadium as affiliated professional baseball returns to the historic heart of the city’s downtown. Numerous Major League Baseball stars have worn the Mudcats uniform over the years, including winners of the Cy Young Award, Reliever of the Year and numerous league All Stars.

NSV Development

NSV Development is a community focused real estate development firm based in Durham, NC. NSV Development creates the public and private partnerships necessary to transform distressed areas into thriving, diverse, mixed-use environments.  

NSV is the lead developer for the Wilson Sports and Entertainment (WiSE) Park and is leading over $212 million in private development nearby.
